Multition Education

Backend developer (freelance) · Django · PostgreSQL · Sentry · AWS

Multition is an AI-focused education platform with mentor-led courses across machine learning, deep learning, NLP, computer vision, and generative AI. Cohort enrolments and certificates on completion. I came on as a freelance backend developer and have been working on the Django and PostgreSQL side of the stack.

The platform serves 500+ students across 11+ courses, with 50+ certificates issued. Most of my work has sat in the course-and-cohort plumbing, the certificate generation pipeline, and instrumenting the backend with Sentry.

My role

I'm the backend dev on the Multition team, working in Django and PostgreSQL on the parts of the platform that students don't see directly. The visible product is course enrolments, mentor pairing, and certificate generation; the engineering work behind it is enrolment idempotency, certificate PDFs that survive being regenerated after a name correction, and a clean separation between cohort data and course-content data so updates to lectures don't churn historical records.

Numbers

  • 500+ active students across 11+ live courses.
  • 50+ certificates issued with verifiable IDs.
  • Sentry catches errors before students email about them; that loop alone has removed roughly half of inbound "the site is broken" tickets.

Course topics

Machine Learning, Deep Learning, NLP, Computer Vision, Generative AI. Mentor-led with cohort enrolments — the platform schedules live sessions and tracks progress per student, which is the part of the data model with the most edge cases.
